About Me

I am Astrid Lin, with 3 years of work experience in product design and product management. I take myself as a 'full-stack product designer' where my work goes beyond designing UI and workflows; it's about making better decisions.

I participate in the end-to-end product process, including user research, data analysis, feature planning, wire-framing, UI design, usability testing, A/B testing, and performance validation.

Previously, I work at CMoney, primarily responsible for designing a social software with millions of active users. This software includes web and iOS, Android apps, and I have participated in at least 50 product design iterations. Additionally, I have been involved in planning and designing multiple new products from scratch.

Prior to CMoney, I worked as a product manager in a B2B IoT company, focusing on web backend systems. This experience equipped me with communication and negotiation skills with clients, as well as sharpening my design abilities for 2B web backend systems.

My Strenghs

Business Mindset

With my experience as a product manager, I often assist in feature planning while working as a designer. I understand that design is not just about meeting user needs; it's about achieving product/business goals. I am well-versed in striking the perfect balance between user experience and business objectives.

Data Analysis

In addition to qualitative research, I enjoy analyzing user behavior through data. Data provides objective and efficient insights. I frequently employ funnel analysis, path analysis, heatmaps, conversion rate calculations, and more. Data helps me make more accurate design decisions and evaluate the effectiveness of my designs.

Experienced in Both 2C and 2B Industry

I believe that 2C and 2B design methods are distinct. While both focus on understanding users, 2C design requires qualitative and quantitative research, while 2B design involves communication skills with clients. In terms of design, 2C often involves experimental iterations to achieve product OKRs, while 2B user flows are usually more complex, aiming to meet specific client needs. Having experience in both realms allows me to think about design from a broader perspective.
